Our Experience With Power Generation Lifts

Aero supports utility operators, plant maintenance teams, and EPC contractors at power generation facilities across the Northeast. Our crews understand how outage windows drive every decision and how plant safety standards shape every step of the lift.

Services

Operated crane, rigging, hauling, and storage all run through one Aero team. The crew that books the lift also handles the rig plan, the transport, and the staging.

Areas We Serve

Aero crews dispatch from South Windsor across Connecticut, Rhode Island, western Massachusetts, and southern Vermont. Equipment is matched to the site distance, road access, and lift requirements before the crane leaves the yard.

Fleet Capacity

The fleet spans 25-ton carry decks to 770-ton all-terrain Liebherrs, with boom trucks, truck cranes, and forklifts in between. Each crane is matched to the load, the site access, and the schedule of your job.

Coordinated Before The Plant Goes Off Line

Power plant work starts well before the outage. Here is how Aero plans around your dispatch window.

Tell us the equipment, the access, and your scheduled outage. We map the lift around the dispatch window and the plant maintenance plan.

Match The Right Crane And Setup

Sized to fit plant clearances, ground bearing on yard areas, and the radii required for generator, turbine, and transformer placements.

Coordinate With Operations And Vendors

We sync with your operations team, outage coordinator, and OEM vendors so the lift sequence supports the maintenance plan.

Execute And Close Out

Operators on site, lifts complete inside the outage window, equipment back to your team for return to service.

Power Plant Crane Questions

Common questions about power plant and utility crane work.

What kind of power plant equipment can Aero place?

Generators, gas turbines, steam turbines, transformers, switchgear, condensers, boiler components, and outage support equipment. If it is part of a power generation facility's maintenance or capital project, we have likely lifted it.

Can Aero meet utility safety standards?

Yes. Our operators carry the certifications utility and power plant work requires. We participate in site safety meetings, comply with arc flash and lockout protocols, and align our lift plan with your outage coordinator and safety officer.

How do you coordinate around outage windows?

Outage schedules drive every decision. Send us your outage plan and we will build the crane mobilization, equipment staging, and lift sequence around the dispatch window.

What size cranes do you bring to power plant sites?

Sizing depends on equipment weight and pick radius. 55-ton through 230-ton all-terrain cranes for typical generator, turbine, and transformer placements. Larger lifts can be planned with additional capacity through partner relationships.

How much lead time is needed for power plant work?

Four to eight weeks is typical for major outage support, given site safety reviews and lift plan approvals. Smaller scheduled lifts can be planned with two to three weeks. Emergency dispatch support can sometimes be turned around in under a week.
